  • Hu RenzongProfessor & Doctoral Supervisor

    Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology; Recipient of the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund; Deputy Director of the Ministry of Education’s Key Technology Research Platform; Director of the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Advanced Energy Storage Materials.

    Mainly engaged in fundamental theoretical and applied research on high-performance lithium-ion battery materials.

    Primary research directions: lithium-ion batteries; structure and performance regulation of high-capacity metal-based lithium storage anode materials; novel electrochemical energy storage systems and devices; in situ characterization and analysis of material electrochemical reaction systems.

    To date, he has published over 60 SCI papers in renowned academic journals such as Adv. Mater., Acta Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Energy Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., ACS Nano, Nano Energy, J. Mater. Chem., and J. Power Sources. Among these, 5 are ESI highly cited papers, with SCI citations exceeding 1,500 and an h-index of 25. He has been granted 4 authorized national invention patents.

  • Lu Zhongchen Professor

    Holds a Ph.D. from South China University of Technology and is a core member of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Advanced Energy Storage Materials.

    Mainly engaged in research areas including material safety technology (failure analysis of structural materials, radar stealth, infrared stealth, friction and wear), metal 3D printing, and plasma ball milling technology. He has led multiple research projects, such as the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation and the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

    Research fields: Material safety technology (failure analysis of structural materials, radar stealth, infrared stealth, friction and wear), metal 3D printing, plasma ball milling technology.

    He has presided over several research projects, including the Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has published over 30 papers in academic journals such as Wear, Electrochim. Acta, Ceram. Int., J. Mater. Chem. A, and Int. J. Refract. Met. H., filed 16 invention patent applications (including 3 PCT international patents), been granted 10 domestic patents, 1 Japanese patent, and 2 U.S. patents, and filed 2 utility model patent applications, both of which have been granted. As a core R&D member, the plasma ball milling machine he helped develop has been promoted and sold to over 70 universities, research institutes, and enterprises.
