Case Introduction

The client is a leading domestic enterprise in the coated separator industry, specializing in the R&D and production of functional separator materials for high-safety lithium-ion batteries and aluminum-plastic composite packaging films. Its independently developed coating technology has broken the market monopoly previously held by Japanese companies. Through vertical integration of the industry chain, it has established a film business division system. Currently operating 104 coated separator production lines, the company has an annual production capacity of 500 million square meters.

With the rapid development of the lithium-ion battery industry, the demand for high-performance separator materials is increasing day by day. As an important diaphragm coating material, the optimization and improvement of the preparation process of boehmite are of vital importance. The customer initiated the liquid Boehmite preparation system project, aiming to create an efficient, stable and automated pulping system to meet the demands of large-scale production and enhance market competitiveness

SOPHON participates in the water-based slurry preparation system. Its raw material components include: automated metering and conveying of pure water, aluminum hydroxide, and dispersant (viscosity ≤ 100CP); automated conveying and coarse grinding of premix; stirring; automated dispersion; as well as slurry transfer, slurry filtration for iron removal, slurry fine grinding, finished slurry buffering, finished slurry pumping, finished slurry filtration for iron removal, automatic temperature control, and system automation control.

Fully Automated Control: The entire process from raw material powder input to finished slurry output is automated, minimizing manual intervention. Quality Traceability System: A comprehensive product traceability system has been established to provide detailed records of the production process for each batch, including raw material information, process parameters, and equipment operating status. Convenient Maintenance and Management: The equipment is designed with an emphasis on ease of maintenance, featuring a simple structure that is easy to disassemble and install, facilitating daily upkeep. Rational Equipment Spatial Layout: The layout makes efficient use of plant space, reducing the footprint and lowering facility investment costs. This is complemented by optimized process flows and equipment design.
